Legal Worker, International Human Rights and Guantanamo Global Justice Initiative
Abby joined CCR in 2011 as a Legal Worker for the International Human Rights docket and Guantanamo Global Justice Initiative.
Prior to joining CCR’s staff, she worked on environmental investigations and litigations at Weitz & Luxenberg, P.C., a plaintiffs' law firm. Abby speaks Spanish, has studied in Chile and graduated from Barnard College with a degree in comparative literature. She has interned as a research and editorial assistant with the Council on Foreign Relations in their Latin America Studies Program and the Barnard Center for Research on Women. She also has provided advocacy support at Make the Road New York’s Department of Legal & Support Services on employment and immigration initiatives and at the Darfur Action Campaign of American Jewish World Service.
