Biography

Sara Beinert brings an extensive background in social justice fundraising both as a professional and a volunteer to her work at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR). She holds responsibility for cultivating and stewarding CCR’s donors and expanding the planned giving program. Prior to joining CCR in August 2007, she was manager of individual gifts at the Brennan Center for Justice, where she increased funds raised from non-foundation sources by 25 percent over three years. She began her career organizing special events at the Ms. Foundation for Women, rising to the position of special events manager.

Sara holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo (1998), and a Certificate in Fundraising from New York University. She serves on the Boards of WIMN: Women In Media and News, a media analysis and advocacy group working to increase women’s power in the public debate, and the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program Alumni Association of New York.
