Associate Director of Development, Individual Giving
Sara Beinert brings an extensive background in social justice fundraising both as a professional and a volunteer to her work at the Center for Constitutional Rights. As Associate Director of Development, Individual Giving, Sara holds responsibility for cultivating and stewarding more than $1.2 million in major gifts annually. She also directs the annual fund and manages CCR’s planned giving program, the Thelma Newman Planned Giving Society. Prior to joining CCR in August 2007, she was manager of individual gifts at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. She began her career organizing special events at the Ms. Foundation for Women, rising to the position of special events manager. Sara holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo (1998), and a Certificate in Fundraising from New York University. She serves on the Boards of WIMN: Women In Media and News, a media analysis and advocacy group working to increase women’s power in the public debate, and the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program Alumni Association of New York.
