Ms. Lee received her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2012. While attending law school, Ms. Lee worked at the Southern Center for Human Rights and the Virginia Capital Conviction Resource Center, where she focused on domestic human rights issues and the death penalty. Ms. Lee also participated in the International Human Rights Clinic, and the Innocence Project Clinic. While in law school she served as the student coordinator for the Human Rights Program, President of the VA Innocence Project Student Group, board member of the Black Law Students Association, and Editorial Board Member of the VA Journal of Criminal Law. In 2010, Ms. Lee was named a Virginia Law Foundation Public Service Fellow.

Prior to law school, Ms. Lee worked as the Virginia Climate Coordinator for the League of Conservation Voters. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Global Studies and Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness.
