CCR Senior Staff Attorney Shayana Kadidal will speak on Civil Liberties vs. National Security in Phoenix on November 6th. Constitutional and civil rights developments in the U.S. since 9/11 have had profound long-term implications for the law and for how U.S. society will evolve in the future. CCR has led major fights and significant cases of the post-9/11 era, including challenging detentions at Guantánamo, the Julian Assange and Manning cases, and mass surveillance by the NSA.
