Join CCR in Chicago for oral arguments in United States v. Johnson, the federal prosecution of two animal rights activists under the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act (AETA) for allegedly liberating anmianls from fur farms.

CCR has moved to dismiss the criminal indictment against the activists by arguing that the AETA is facially unconstitutional because it criminalizes protected advocacy, is overly vague, and because it punishes as an act of "terrorism" a non-violent act: saving animals from the violence of being killed and turned into fur coats.

CCR Senior Staff Attorney Rachel Meeropol will argue for Defendants, ask the Court to dismiss the AETA indictment as unconstitutional.
