CCR filed this federal suit to protect the First Amendment rights of peace, social justice and environmental justice groups to dissent and protest at and around the G-20 summit, held in Pittsburgh September 24-25, 2009.  Federal, state and local defendants had refused permits to many protest groups and restricted the ones approved to areas outside of the area where the G-20 was to be held.
