Development Director

Theda Jackson-Mau is Director of Development at the Center for Constitutional Rights. Theda began her fundraising career at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and, over the years, has headed development programs in support of the arts, land conservation, social services, and civil liberties in New York and Seattle, WA. At the Trust for Public Land, she planned and implemented the start-up northwest regional development program to generate contributions, grants, and loans for land conservation and educational projects. As Major Gifts Manager and Interim Development Director of Pacific Northwest Ballet, Theda was responsible for major gifts, corporate and foundation grants, direct mail, and event sponsorships. ArtsFund (formerly Corporate Council for the Arts) recruited Theda to design and implement an individual giving program. She served as Development Director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Washington and the Northside Center for Child Development. Theda is also the former Deputy Director of Major Gifts for the ACLU national headquarters. She has served on the boards of the ACLU of Washington, the Global Film Initiative, Central District Forum for Arts and Ideas, and was a founding member of the Carol Pitchersky Fellowship Committee.
